Adding an App to Dashboard

Overview
The Adding an App to Dashboard functionality comes in a few different workflow options - depending on where the option is requested from. This topic describes the following workflows:
Add to Dashboard from the App Options menu on the Results page - this option will allow the current App to be added to an existing or new Dashboard.
Add App from the Dashboard Options menu on the Dashboard page - this option will allow a new App to be added to the current Dashboard. The kind of Apps that can be added this way have to be created in Advance by using the Application Composer in the AO Platform.
Add to Dashboard - from the App Options menu on the Results page
This option allows an existing App to be copied to another existing or new Dashboard. A dialog opens to allow the user to either select an existing Dashboard or create a new Dashboard. Some types of Apps will have customization options as part of the workflow. In the dialog for adding the current App to the Dashboard, click the Customize button (if available) to see these options.

Enable advanced filter | Disabled | Enable to add an Advanced Filter option to the App. Advanced Filters are represented by a “funnel” icon in the top/right corner of the App and allow users to configure Filters Using Query Builder for easy selection of sub-queries of the data represented by the App. See Easy Answers Apps. |
App Examples with Customize Options
During the Add App to Dashboard task, some Apps may feature a Customize button allowing the user to select which data KPIs, Data Series, or Layers (from Map App) to be added to a Dashboard. In those cases, an extra dialog will be shown from which the user can select from the additional options.
KPI Apps - KPI Apps may be grouped. If so, users can select which of the individual KPI Apps will be copied.
Map Apps - Map Apps may have multiple feature layers. If so, users can select which of the individual feature layers will be copied.
Carousel Apps - Carousel Apps will have multiple Apps available. Users can select which of the individual Apps from the Carousel will be copied.

Add App - from the Dashboard Options menu on the Dashboard page
This option allows the user to create a new App on the current Dashboard. Select to open a dialog to allow an App, created using the Application Composer, to be added to the Dashboard. A Search dialog will show all existing Apps available.
