Overview
This topic describes the simple Create (and Edit) Dashboard dialogs and associated configuration options. A Dashboard can be created from the Easy Answers Results page as part of the Add App to Dashboard functionality, or it can be created from the Easy Answers Dashboard page.
Properties in the Create/Edit Dashboard Dialogs
The Create and Edit Dashboard dialogs have some basic configuration options, including:
Name - add a Name to the Dashboard.
Icon - add an Icon to represent the Dashboard.
Description - add a short description to explain the focus and/or content of the Dashboard.
Make Default - on/off toggle. If enabled, this Dashboard will open automatically when the Dashboard page is selected in the Easy Answers header.
Lazy Load Apps on Dashboard - on/off toggle. If enabled, Apps on the Dashboard will progressively render as the user scrolls down the page. This improves the performance when opening the Dashboard.
Auto-Adjust Row Height in Sections - on/off toggle. If enabled, the sections in the layout will automatically adjust to fit the rows of apps added to a section. Disable, to keep the layout for a section as originally configured, eg. 8 Rows x 8 Columns. Note: This option becomes visible only when the Lazy Load Apps on Dashboard option is enabled. Also, this option is not available in the Create Dashboard dialog.
Use a Page as Dashboard - If enabled, a Page of custom Apps created in the UI Composers can be selected for use by the Dashboard. Note: This option is only available from Create Dashboard dialog when creating the Dashboard from the Dashboard page.
Page - a dialog opens to allow the selection of an existing Page with Apps created in the UI composers. Note: This option is only available if the Use a Page as Dashboard property has been enabled.
