Easy Answers - Questions and Answers Page
Intended audience: USERS
AO Easy Answers: 4.3
Overview
The Easy Answers Results page will show a dynamically generated Dashboard of automatically curated data visualizations (Apps), including KPI tiles, Maps, Charts, Tables, and other custom Apps based on users asking questions about their data. An Easy Answers solution focuses on allowing users to ask ad-hoc questions of their data using Natural Language, ie, “plain English” to generate the resulting visual representations from the retrieved data.

Operating Modes
There are two types of operating modes for Easy Answers:
AI Enhanced - this mode uses Natural Language Questions and Processing with support from Generative AI techniques using Large Language Models (LLMs) from external systems such as OpenAI in conjunction with the Ontology created for the solution. The LLM enables sophisticated interpretation and validation of user questions, and in conjunction with the solution Ontology, provides more robust support for advanced and complex questions, resulting in improved responses. This is the default and recommended configuration of Easy Answers for the most productive and optimal question interpretation and results generation.
AI Enhanced mode has a very advanced way of validating user questions, including suggesting missing values or topic content that cannot be derived from the question (ambiguities). One key factor in having the AI Enhanced mode validate user questions is the additional descriptive information that can be added to clarify the data/information requested by using the More Clarification button.
Standard - this mode uses Natural Language Questions and Processing internal to the AO Platform. The core framework uses the Ontology created for the solution, including many enhancements to the data from data sources based on linguistic terminology and synonym configurations, automatic statistics generation, applying traits for certain data types, etc…
For questions that are only partially understood, Standard mode will seek to help the user by suggesting previous questions that are a close match with the current question. If one or more words are not understood in the question, the user will also have a provision to “Fix unknown words”, allowing unknown words to be either ignored or added as synonyms for existing known terms.
In addition to getting results in the form of Apps on the screen, many options and actions can be performed relative to both the questions asked and the App results.
